Man vs Machine – Elexirr will host Legal Prediction Competition

By Nico Kuhlman

Is there a right answer to a question of law? This question is one of the most important questions of jurisprudence. Philosophers have debated this question since Antiquity. This question is central to justice. This question influences abstract political concepts and concrete decisions in court. This question remains unanswered.

From October 20th to 27th, Elexirr is hosting a competition between lawyers and machines. Over 50 confirmed lawyers from top London firms will predict the outcome of PPI mis-selling complaints. Elexirr will predict the outcomes using their AI with exactly the same information. The side with higher accuracy wins. plain and simple.

Ian Dodd, UK Director of Premonition.ai will verify the results and announce them together with an independent legal judge on October 27th.

Elexirr is on a mission to solve law. Solving law means – in the words of Elexirr – to find out if there is an objective dimension to legal knowledge. If there is an objective dimension to legal knowledge, Elexirr will use artificial intelligence to make legal knowledge clear and accessible. If there is no objective dimension to legal knowledge, Elexirr will use artificial intelligence to create an objective dimension to legal knowledge. The technical goal is a system that can make perfect legal predictions.

In total, there will be two events on October 27th. The first event is open to the public and will showcase the technology of Elexirr. It will take place at 3 PM at Google Campus London. The second event is by invitation only and will feature the results. This event will take place at 6 PM at Kennedys Law London.

If you are a lawyer and have said in the past that no machine can ever do what you can do, here is your chance to prove your point. Lawyers who want to participate, apply here. Good luck!
