Clio, the leader in cloud-based legal practice management, celebrated its 10th anniversary at ABA TECHSHOW, the same event where the company launched. Ten years ago, Jack Newton and Rian Gauvreau launched the first-to-market, cloud-based legal practice management platform, making managing a practice simple, affordable and accessible for tens of thousands of law firms. Clio ignited a revolution and helped create a new industry of cloud-based legal startups.
To mark this milestone, Clio is proud to announce the launch of the Clio Gives Scholarship Fund, which will offer monetary support for law schools with public interest programs, expanding their reach and impact while providing the next generation of lawyers with hands-on experience to help build their future career.
“At Clio, our mission is to transform the practice of law, for good,” said Newton. “Two ways we intend to accomplish that this year is by continuing to enhance our offerings to our existing customers and making access to legal education more accessible to all. With that in mind, what better way to celebrate our 10th anniversary, than by announcing the Clio Gives Scholarship Fund.”
As part of their enhanced offerings to customers, Clio will be announcing an additional 20 new app integrations at this year’s ABA TECHSHOW, adding to what is already recognized as the largest ecosystem of app integrations of any legal practice management platform.
In addition, today also marks another milestone for the company. Clio was just named a new winner of Canada’s Best Managed Companies. This prestigious designation recognizes Clio for having revenues of over $15 million, demonstrating innovative and world-class business practices, and for committing to achieving sustained growth.
Since its launch at the 2008 ABA TECHSHOW, Clio has done so much more than grow its customer base, including creating the largest and best conference in legal technology, the Clio Cloud Conference, publishing the first-ever data-driven report on the legal industry, the Legal Trends Report, and launching a groundbreaking $1 million Clio Developer Fund, aimed at driving even further innovation across the legal industry. Clio has also invested in and further developed their offerings, from creating their first mobile application in 2013, to conducting a groundup reinvention of their platform last year, with the new Clio experience.
